Dog Owners Asked To Restrain Field Pets Dog owners and dog trainers are requested by the Oregon Game commission to keep canines under tight control while train ing the animals in the field dur ing the game bird nesting season. The nesting and rearing season will begin shortly and continue through August in many parts of the state. Dogs allowed to run wild can cause severe game bird nesting losses. Although it is illegal to molest game bird nests, it is permissible to train dogs in the field through out the year. The commission pointed out the gun dog handlers must use care to select sites where nests and young birds are not likely to be molested. SUFFERS BROKEN BONES A telephone call to the Journal office late last week from Miss Dawn Drown informed this pub lication that in a recent accident she suffered a broken shoulder and upper right arm. During the session, representa tives of the Nyssa lodge extended an invitation to the association to meet at Nyssa in 1967. Reason for his two-year advance notice is due to by-laws of the associa tion so it can plan ahead. In 1966 the association will meet at Bend. Mills states that with the help of its own Rebekah lodge mem bers, if they desire, and with as sistance from surrounding lodges that Nyssa will make the forth- coming meeting a success. Since its formation 18 years ago, the Nyssa lodge has never had this annual session in its city. There will be more news of the meeting in later issues of the Gate City Journal. 79 Four-Roll Packages 3 for Treasure Valley — Top Quality M c C ulloch Ji. 0 1 4 Boxes For Whole Chicken I Can Only I I 79 d 4 424 Main Street . . .
