PAGE SEVEN Instructor Presents Malheur Butte Baptist Church Groups Students in Recent Hold Traditional Christmas Services Holiday Piano Recital By Ruth Robbins LINCOLN HEIGHTS—Mission ary Fellowship group of Malheur Butte Baptist church met Dec. 19 at the home of Mrs. Vern Smith. Following a brief business meet ing, Mrs. Amos Nofziger led the worship hour in a candlelighting ceremony entitled “Christ the Light.” Each member took part in the service of verses and prayers. Gifts were taken for the mission ary and / or church nursery groups. A Christmas program was held Sunday evening, Dec. 22, at the Butte church. Mrs. Stanley Penn directed the Sunday school in a pageant depicting Christ’s life, from the manger to His resurrec tion. Entertains Club Members Patch and Chat club members held their monthly meeting Dec. 19 at the home of Mrs. Ray Whit sell. At the close of the business session, Mrs. Brock Robbins pre sented the president’s bell to the new leader, Mrs. Clifford Harris. Five students who were pre sented awards for outstanding records included Sharon Blair, a beginner; first intermediate, La- Rae Mitchell and Dellas Freder ickson; second intermediate, Lin da Clapp; advanced, Joan Durfee. Other students participating were Linda Williams, Carol Nel son, LeAnne Wilson, Jeff Ste phens, Kathy Spitler, Christina Call, Marilee Wilson, Mary Mc Coy, Susan Clapp, Douglas Gar ner, Cindy Spitler, Jean Munn, Christy Nelson, Dee Farr and Brenda Draper. his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Roger Dejmal spent the holi days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Dejmal. Roger is at tending graduate school at Ore gon State university in Corvallis.
