Pirates' Baseball Camp in Caldwell Friday, Saturday SUGAR BOWL The Pittsburgh Pirates of the National league will conduct a tryout camp at Caldwell Friday and Saturday, June 28-29. The Babe Ruth boys lost an other game Friday by a 16-9 count at Payette Starting pitcher was Mike Kodama. who was relieved in the second inning by Burning ham. Catching duties were per formed by Bobby Smith and Burningham. Smith recently joined the Babe Ruth squad, replacing Russell Myrick who suffered a shoulder injury. RETURNS FROM PORTLAND Mrs. Wilson Winter returned home Sunday from Portland where she spent 10 days with her daughter, Helen, a registered nurse at the Portland Medical cli nic. They attended the Rose festi val and saw many places of in terest in and near the Rose City. They also visited with Mrs. Satis Indrakamhoeng, the former Mari lyn Oden, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Lester Oden of Nyssa. Class Planned For Area Residents An art class is being arranged for interested persons in the Nys sa, Vale and Ontario areas by Kim Kimmerling of Boise, ac cording to an announcement by Miss Mane Coate. The class will be held one night a week for a two-hour session during a six-week period. It will be limited to a minimum of 12 students and a maximum of 20. The field of interest will be deter mined by those taking the course. Kimmerling works with tapes try, oils, water colors and sculp ture.
