PAGE FOUR____________ Oui Our Way Club Fetes Newlyweds At Shower Given in Siephen Home By Boxy Ritchie BUENA VISTA —A bridal shower was held Monday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ritchie, recent newlyweds. Out Our Way club members were hostesses to 38 guests at the home of Mrs. Es ther Stephen. They were assisted by Mrs. Claude Day of Adrian and Mrs. Howard Day of Lake Owyhee. Assisting Mrs. Ritchie at the gift table were the Misses Connie Price, Jennifer Stephen, Glenda Hoffman, Leah Whipple and Lin da Price. Mrs. Glenn Hoffman was in charge of games. Pie ala mode, coffee and punch were served. Mrs. Virgie Rookstool and Wayne Rookstool visited Tuesday evening with Mrs. Edith Whipple, Kenneth and Leah. Miss Cheryl Zesiger attended a wedding Saturday of friends at Priest River, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Rawleigh Cham berlain of Mitchell Butte and Mrs. Lester Coe of Roseburg visited Saturday evening at the Russell Talbot home. Gibson Arrives Home Corporal Don Gibson arrived last week at the Jay Gibson home for a 42-day leave before going to Fort Bragg, N.C., where he will be stationed. Gibson just return ed from 16 months’ duty in Korea. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Talbot and Marian Hughes called Sunday evening on Mr. and Mrs. William Ward in Nyssa. Mr. and Mrs. Danny Norland of Umatilla were Wednesday even- ing dinner guests at the Joe Ste phen home. Mrs. Lester Cleaver visited Sun day afternoon at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Orr, to see their twin babies, born last week at Malheur Memorial hospital. Mrs. Delbert Cleaver was hos tess June 13 to the Out Our Way club at her home. Eight members and two guests, Mrs. George Clea ver and Glenda Hoffman, answer ed roll call with “A TV Star I’d Like to Meet.” Next meeting will be July 11 with Mrs. Jim Ritchie. Mr. and Mrs. David Highland and family were Father’s day din ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Hoffman. Moves to Ontario Miss Jennifer Stephen moved last week to Ontario where she is employed at the Presbyterian nursing home. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stephen. Mr. and Mrs. John Price and Mrs. Esther Stephen accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stephen to a fruit growers banquet June 12 in Fruitland. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Phillips were Sunday guests at the Lester Cleaver home. During the even ing Mr. and Mrs. Cleaver received a telephone call from their son Truman, who is employed in Florida. Several FFA boys from this community left Monday morning for a few days’ camping near Unity. Weekend guests at the George Knowles home were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Ormiston of Sunray, Texas, as they were enroute home from the World’s Fair. G.
