CLEAN-UP WITH ft A candlelight ceremony Sat urday evening, Aug. 16 at 8 p m. in the First Methodist church in Nyssa united in marriage Miss Marlene Bergam and Frank Kom. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Bergam of Nyssa and Mr. and Mrs. Anton Kom of Sandpoint, Ida. The Rev. Paul Ludlow, pastor of the Nyssa Methodist church, performed the double ring cere mony in the presence of 60 guests before an altar beautifully decor ated with tall baskets of pink and white gladioli and tall candela bra. Low arrangements of white candles and pink gladioli tied with bows of pink satin in the windows completed the decorat ions. The aisle was marked with white satin bows centered with pink gladioli. The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose for her wed ding, a ballerina length gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta fash- oned with scoop neckline, three- quarter length sleeves compli mented by a large satin bow and streamers down the back. A bead ed leaf half-hat held her elbow- length veil of French illusion. She carried a white Bible with cascad ing bouquet of pink rosebuds with stephanotis and streamers. Darvis Bergam of Richland, Wash., cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. The Misses Sher- ma Blaylock and Susan Elaine Medlock of Boise were brides maids. All were attired in iden tical street length sheath dresses of lavender chromespun taffeta with overskirts of orchid chiffon caught at the waist by cumber- bunds of chiffon. They wore or chid net and pearl ring head- pieces and carried nosegays of pink rosebuds with white carna tions. Ed McFarland of Sandpoint ser ved as best man. Ushers were George Kom of Sandpoint, brot her of the bridegroom and Wayne Horton of Emmett. Miss Barbara McPartland of Nyssa played the traditional wed ding music and a c c o m p a n i e d Charles Jones of Nyssa who sang the “ Lord's Prayer” and “ I Love You Truly.” The bride’s mother was attired in a navy blue nylon net lace over taffeta dress and the bridegroom’s mother chose a dress of light blue flowered silk. They wore white accessories and corsages of pink rosebuds. Immediately following the cere mony the couple was honored at a reception held in the basement of the church.
