There was almost enough weight to get out a newspaper for a week, but there should be some satisfaction In the thought that so many groups consider the weekly newspaper a good advertising med ium. Tw o or three manufacturing con cerns which spend millions for mul ti-colored magazine ads, favor us each week with "local news" about the use o f their product in Oregon. After a few minutes' conversation With Mr Grider aoout the forth coming Jersey show here May 17, it wa^ obvious that she shares with tier hu.band the respoasibility, in terest and work on the Grider Jersey farm near Nyssa We learned as much about dairying in a few min utes from Mrs. Grider as we ever have in comparable tune from nu merous men who liave devoted their lives to this important phase of western farming Probably the most lasting impres sion was this dairy woman’s hign respect for dairy breeds other than Jerseys and the fact that she and dozens of other dairy people in M al heur county are confident o f the sound economic groundwork they are building for this area.
