DECEMBER 21. 1950 j$>ucial K n ti'S LOCAL MAN WEDS Ruby Wageman, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Adolph Wageman of Nam pa was married to Ronald Haney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Haney of Nyssa route 1 in the Seventh Day Adventist church in Nampa November 20. The candlelight cere mony was performed by Elder | Hempel. Darlene Haney was maid of honor, Shirley Stewart, bridesmaid; Evelou Haney and Mareen Guetenberg, candle-lighters; D o n a l d Haney! groom's man; Bud Smith, usher, and Brooks and a vocal solo. "The Holy City,” was rendered by Mrs. Bessie Bair. Captain Neil Bair presided. Three board members of the Mal heur County Camp were present. Refreshments in keeping with the Christmas season were served by the hostess, with Mrs. Nora Larson and Mrs. Ernest Bunn, assisting. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Mary E. Bybee Jan uary 18 at 2 o’clock. Mrs. Donald Haney, usherette. The bride wore a white satin gown with | fingertip veil. A reception was held in the Park house in Nampa. Mr. Haney, who attended school at Nyssa and Adrian, is engaged in farming near New Plymouth. Mrs. Haney attended Oem State academy at Caldwell. LOCAL O I r l WEDS Miss Genevieve Hipp of Nyssa and Charles Miller of Ogden, Utah were joined in wedlock Saturday even ing at 7 o’clock. Rev. Don Camp bell officiated. Mrs. Miller was born in Nyssa and attended school here, graduating in 1946. Mr. Miller is employed by the Amalgamated Sugar company. He has been employed in the Nyssa plant for the past two years and has been transfered to Seattle, where they will make their home. Before they left for Seattle a chicken dinner was served for their friends and families at the Morroco club Saturday night in honor of the couple. R EP EA T THE M IN D IN G JO? T H U CHRISTMAS. STORK SHOWER HELD Mrs. Gish Amano and Mrs. Mas Yano of Weiser were honored guests at a pink and blue party Monday af ternoon at the Thomas Watanabe home in Ontario. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs. Thomas Nlsh- itani of Sunset valley, Mrs. Abe Salto and Mrs. Howard Fuju, both of Weiser, and Mrs. Thomas W at anabe of Ontario. A Yuletime arrangement of can dles, madonna and miniature Christ child graced the buffet, a mass of pink and white asters accented the center table, while on each of the other tables were chrysanthemums. Mrs. George Saito received high prize in recognizing the greatest number of comic characters in the funnies, while Mrs. Harry Morioka received high in the nursery puzzle games. After the opening of gifts, hostesses served a crab luncheon, with one of the desserts—a tiny diaper cooky fastened with a gold safetypin. UTAH DAUGHTERS MEET The monthly meeting of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Gate City Camp, met at the home of Mrs. Faie Duffln Friday afternoon, with 16 women and four children present.
