SEPTEMBER 21. 1950 Change Made In Harvest Plan For Sugar Beets Hollis Knowles Injured When He Falls O ff Straw Hollis Knowles, high school senior, was injured Tuesday morning about 10 o'clock when he (ell from a trailer load of baled straw near nls home nine miles southwest of Nyssa. At tile time of the accident Don Smith was operating a tractor mil ling the load of straw and Knowles was sitting on top of the load. As they passed under a water flume, Knoylas, in a fit of playfulness, grabbed the flume and was either pulled or fell from the straw. He struck the ground on his head and been removed shoulders. One shoulder was (Evans Photo) bruised and apparently his head was injured internally. The youth, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. T.
