Mrs. Ruth Schanon will stay for a visit with her daughter, Mrs. Dunaway, but Mrs. Alice Schanon left Monday to re turn to her home. Mr. and Mrs Werner Peutz and Wanda, Mr. and Mrs.. William Peutz and William Peutz, Jr., went to Evergreen, Idaho Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. R. L Patton and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rowe returned Saturday from a trip Uiroujph Yel lowstone park and on to Roundup, Montana, where Mr. and Mrs. Pat ton lived before moving to this community in 1924. They siient the night with friends and went on to Lewistown, where they stay ed with the Art Chamberlain fam ily overnight. They visited in Ham ilton, Montana for three days sight seeing and picnicking. They re turned by way of Moscow Mrs. Werner Peutz received news Friday that her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Huber of Merid ian are the parents of a boy bom at the St Alphonsos hospital in Boise. The baby has been named Ronald Du wain. Mr, and Mrs. Kenneth McDon ald entertained Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Kyger and Maxine with a picnic on their lawn Thursday in observance of Mr Kygar’s birthday. Mirs. Grant Patterson attended a demonstration party at the home of Mrs. .Cora Rookstool Monday eve ning. Mrs. Marden Talbot of Hood River arrived Tuesday at the J P. Dunaway home to get her children, who have spent the summer with their grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hite of Haines visited in the Oral Hite home Sun day, Ml-s. Mildred Hite of La Grande arrived Thursday to sjier.d a few weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Don ald Brewer, and son Donald Hite and their families. G. Patterson of Boise were Sun day visitors in the John Packwood home. Mrs. E. E. Butler cut off the little finger of her right hand in an electric separator Sunday. A dog broke into a chicken park on the Pill'bury ranch Saturday night and destroyed a flock of 4-H ■hickens owned by Mary and Elsie Hatch. The Big Bend Stock club met at the home of John Park wood Mon day. Refreshments of punch and cookies were served following the meeting. Several residents of the Wade and Big Bend districts attended the dedication services of the Kingman Memorial Community United Pres byterian church In Adrian Sunday. Betty Jones attended the United Presbyterian conference held at Seabeck, Washington.
