Flood Took All THE GEMS OF THOUGHT BY GEO. N. TAYLOR Portland. Oregon Back in Noah’s day, business was good on Main street. Things were going on as usual. Then all of a sudden, God sent the tlood—NOAH'S FLOOD, we call it. All mankind then perished from off the face of the earth— all except Noah and his family. God honored Noah’s faith and spared him. As in Noah's day, mankind will again fall into un speakable sin and God will again sweep out all of mankind — Luke 17:26-27. Whether God’s patience with us gives out soon or not, you are of the bless ed ones if you have already set your heart on Christ as Lord and Saviour. —"Not that we loved God but that he loved us and gave His Son to die for us.” Be Christ’s n.w creation. Receive Him into your heart and die to self. He then works out through you to the glory of God. This i pace sponsored by a Seattle family. , i j I I j j CHILDREN Children have more need of models than of critics. —Joseph Joubert Beloved children, the world has need of you,—and more as child ren than as men and women: it needs your innocence, unselfish ness, faithful affection, uncon- taminated lives. —Mary Baker Eddy Where children are, there is the golden age. —Novalis Every child born into the world is a new thought of God. an ever- fresh and radiant possibility. —Kat?
