The Mist correspondent of the Vernonia Eagle had the pleasure of motoring over the St. Helens hill to the county seat last Sat urday, passing through the land of the Scotch brooms. A beauti ful sight indeed with hills on both sides of the road covered with a mantel of beautiful yel low. The ride was thoroughly en joyed over good roads, the day oeing ideal, and wild flowers at tracting the eye, and the smell of these flowers filling the air with a fresh and wholesome frag grant. Who says Oregon isn’t a grand place to live in? The county assessor was around this vicinity the first of this week making official calls.
