Bridgeport, Conn., has the lowest percentage of failures of business which did not use newspaper advertising and that was 60 per cent, while Troy, N. Y., has the highest with every business failure being that of a business that did not advertise through the me dium of newspapers. In Chicago, 98 per cent of the businesses crashing did not use news paper advertising, in St. Louis 94.6 per cent and Rochester, N. Y. 95 per cent. Of the business failures in Port land, 94 per cent did not use news paper advertising.
