Greenough of Missoula, Mont., has been elected president of the Undid Railway« to sic s<-d W. ,L. Ben ham resigned. Mr. Benham, it is stat ed, will continue with the railway com pany in an official position. Mr. Greenough is one'of the wealthiest of Montana's mining men and one of the principal owners of the Snowball mine. He is a railroad contractor of large experience, having built a great deal of the Northern Pacific as well as ha ring just completed a part of the north bank The election of Mr. Greenough to the presidency of the United Railways has set afloat many rumors concerning the future of the road. It is already plan ning to esteod its lines to Hillsboro and Tillamook and it ia rumored that the coming of Mr. Greenough means the Acquisition of tire road by the Hill in- tens’s.
