The (treasurer inform® me that of the above mentioned outstanding warrant®, tn amount about equal to the|cash on hand has ceased to bear interest, since due notice ha® been given that such var- ran*® would be paid on presentation. The treasurer'® statement also shows that there is uow due the citv for street assessments aod improvement $1440.37. Immediate step® should be taken to en force the payment of this sum, and I in dulge the hope that the various pro perty ¿bolder® against whom these un paid assessments stand will adjust the respective amounts due, thereby reliev ing themselves of the additional ex|>ense that may lie incurred in court.
