Asa Witham, a farmer of Blanchard, Me., has been a member of the Dover company, Maine volunteer militia, for two years, and is counted one of the best marksmen in his regiment. Last May when he was waiting lor the gov ernment to rail the troops to Augusta he went out one afternoon and shot six rabbits.
