The complaint is not familiar to the people, but resembles diphtheria. The daughter of C. A. Smith had an attack of it about two weeks ago. H. A. Chopard is having his fall plow ing done, H. L. P.S.—Gus Chopard would lie very much pleased if the parties who shot one of his sheep and hid it in a brush pile, would keep off his place with their guns in the future. Chasing sheep with dogs may be good sport for some people, but the sheep don’t like it ami the owner objects most strongly, ami some dogs may get hurt if they are caught at such work again, also their owners are liable to get themselves into trouble, if they don’t look out. “ A word to the wise.’’ $1OO Reward, $IOO.
