If you knew how disgusting to us are
the quarrels of newspapers over a little
patronage, you wouldn't indulge in
them. Other people dont air their
private affairs in the newspapers. Why
should you do so? I take both papers
and kuow that you have not provoked
any of those quarrels, but can't yon bear
a little for the sake of your readers ami
for the sake of decent journal ¡am ? I
believe I represent many of your read
ers who hope that we may not have an
other dose, such as we have had, for
years. Of course your paper is your
own, and you can do as you please, but
I thought it might not be amiss

Alas! the disappointment keen—

The bard at last conceived apian,

And in the rhymes, with that last hope
Which often moves some scholars,
He introduced a brand of soap
