The INDEPENDENT, November 2, 2011 City Update From page 3 geotechnical engineering firm, to bore test wells to assess the feasibility of this concept. We hope to have their report in De- cember 2011. Lastly, the City needs to de- velop a stormwater manage- ment plan. It is clear that in de- veloping the final plan for the Page 21 Food for Thought wastewater facility, we will need to develop a related plan to better manage surface water that all too often finds its way into the wastewater lagoons. The City will begin to address this by completing an Inflow and Infiltration Assessment (I & I) in the next six months if we can secure resources for this project. As is clear throughout Vernonia, during major rain events this additional surge of water can consume the capac- ity of sewer pipes, resulting in home backups and overflows into creeks and surface streets. An I & I will identify where the problems exist throughout our community. From page 6 1 cup milk 1 tablespoon canned pumpkin 1-2 teaspoons sugar two grandchildren; one cousin; and three nephews.
