Beside checking out books and other library ma- terials, our librarians would be happy to show you how to use our online databases for your next report. These can be found at < www.wc cls.org > under the heading “Periodicals” be- cause they contain information from newspa- pers, magazines and journals. Check the head- ing “Reference” for the most helpful periodicals. Culturegrams is great for country and state re- ports and cultural information, SIRS Researcher and Student Research Center are useful for crafting a debate, help writing a research paper, and other topics covering science, history, poli- tics and more. We also have a new database called Teen Health and Wellness that can be found under the heading “Health” in Periodicals. If it’s after hours and the library is closed, you can always chat with a librarian 24/7 on L-Net. To connect with a librarian go to < www.wccls. org > and click “Ask a Librarian” under the head- ing “Library Services.” The Friends of the Banks Public Library can always use your support. You can make a tax deductible donation, become a member, volun- teer, or bring your recycling to Swatco on the second Saturday of each month. Money that the Friends raise helps the library purchase Cul- tural Passes, upgrade equipment and purchase books and movies.
