Bergeron has graduat- ed from Basic Combat Training at Fort Knox, Ky. During the nine-week train- ing period, the trainee received instruction in drill and ceremo- ny, weapons, rifle marksman- ship and bayonet training, chemical warfare, field training and tactical exercises, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physi- cal fitness, first aid, and Army history, traditions, and core val- ues. Bergeron, a 2003 graduate of the Oregon Youth Challenge Program in Bend, is the son of Beckie Bergeron of Banks. Someone’s Birthday is coming soon! The fair also featured a planetarium from OMSI, the Lego robotics team, reptiles, ice cream sundaes, and, of course, science fair projects. Main St. Banks, Oregon Snow Angel, a play by David Lindsay-Abaire, is being shown at Banks High School on March 1 and 2 at 7:00 p.m. and on March 3 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the school and are $5.00 in advance and $7.00 at the door. The play is not recommended for children under 10. There are 16 cast members and another 20 students help- ing behind the scenes. The play is about what hap- pens when a stranger arrives in a snowbound town.
