Titus received the award for the time he has dedicated to presenting electrical safety and electrical fire safety programs throughout the state to fire de- partments, schools, and organ- izations. His educational pro- grams have helped to prevent injuries, saved lives, and helped people avoid dangerous situations. For his volunteer efforts, time, and service to the citizens of Oregon, Titus was recog- nized with this prestigious award sponsored by the Ore- gon Fire Chiefs Association. FCC Amateur Radio Exami- nations for Technician Class, General Class and Morse Code at 5 words-per-minute, will be given Sunday, June 25, at 1:00 p.m. at the Vernonia Fire Hall, 555 E. Bridge Street. There is a non-refundable fee of $14.00 per examination. Re- takes are also available. To take the examination, bring cash or a check on a lo- cal bank and two pieces of ID (a valid drivers license with photo and a utility bill or some other document with your cur- rent address). Be prompt, no one may enter after the exams start and the doors will be locked at 1:00 p.m. The exams should not take longer than 2 hours. Results will be provided immediately. A non-program- mable calculator is allowed, but will be checked.
