Obituary From page 23 Hennessey, Goetsch & McGee was in charge of arrangements. MILLIE E. WATERS Millie E. Waters, 80, Portland, died June 20, 2005. A memorial service and celebration of life was held June 27 at the Pleasant Valley Seventh-day Ad ventist Church in Boring. Mrs. Waters was born December 21, 1924, in Corvallis, to Thomas O. and Frances (Axtell) Enneberg. She was raised in Mist and graduated from Vernonia High School. She later at tended Walla Walla College and re ceived her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She served in the U.S. Army. In 1958, she married Riley R. Wa ters. They made their home in Covina, Calif., and later divorced. She worked at Hollywood Park Race Track in Ingle wood, Calif. In 1973, she moved to Portland. She worked for Northwest Pine Sales, a lumber brokerage, for over twenty years, retiring when she i'iïiïiïiii'ù« was seventy. Survivors include her daughter, Carlene S. Lewis of Oregon City; four step-sons, Bruce Waters of Granada Hills, Calif., Roland Waters of Battle Ground, Wash., John Waters of Laugh lin, Nevada, and Dan Waters of Los An geles, Calif.; a brother, Harold En neberg of Gresham; two sisters, Ginger Dunn of Carbondale, Colo., and Flo rence Henderson of Onyx, Calif.; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. OMER LEE “BILL” WILLIAMS Omer Lee “Bill” Williams, 90, Dilley, died June 14, 2005. Private interment has taken place. Mr. Williams was bom July 8,1914, in Hilltop, Arkansas, to Alfred and Aleta Eslin Williams. He was raised in Hilltop. In 1948, he married Dorothy Pau- Columbia County’s victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The community support has been absolutely wonderful and we greatly appreciate every single donation. We also ap preciate the time and effort giv en by so many people. We hope that everyone who attended had a good time and we’re already starting to plan next year’s Cruise In. We look forward to more 50’s/60’s fun, more classic cars, more jitter bugging, more food and more friends enjoying themselves. Save May 6, 2006 for Cafe Boogie 2006. See you there! Scappoose: 868 bucks 28% SUCC6SS 347 forkies 399 3pts, 122 4pts. Wilson: 226 bucks 14% sue- C6SS 104 forkies 122 3pts, 0 4pts. ELK Rifle Saddle Mountain: 1st season, 234 bulls 19% success 2nd season, 158 bulls 13% success (I believe the following are to tals for both seasons.) Scappoose: 135 bulls 8% suc cess Wilson: 316 bulls 12% success Trask: 384 bulls 11% success I don’t think the Wilson num bers include the late cow hunt It is interesting to note the increase in buck harvest last year, especially the good har vest in the Scappoose unit, but we do need to remember that the 2004 deer hunting season was one of the best in the last decade as far as weather was concerned. Remember, it started to rain before the sea son even started and continued throughout the season. I think it would be a mistake to assume that Blacktailed deer have made a recovery. Also interest ing to note is the high percent age of 3 and 4 point bucks in the harvest in the Scappoose unit, something that I have been noticing in the Saddle Mt. unit but doesn’t seem to come out in the stats. This is abnor mal to say the least. Well, I hope you got your tags and look forward to a good season this year. .... . - I line Johnson. They made their home in Vernonia and Hillsboro before moving to Dilley in 1958. He worked as a welder at Bartlett Wrought Iron Works and Johnson Wrought Iron Works. He owned and operated Williams Wrought Iron in Dilley. He had also worked in the logging industry and as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by two sons, Duane Lloyd and Alfred Lee and a daughter, Dawna Marie Williams. Survivors include his wife; a son, Darin Monroe of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Levenia Joyce Shahan of Cottonwood, Calif., and Cheryl Lee Williams of Dilley; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
