The INDEPENDENT, March 17, 2005 Page 3 Between the Bookends People, ideas wanted for community events To the Editor: It is that time of year again when the Riverfest and Jam boree committees are seeking volunteers. Anyone interested in helping, or who has ideas for the festivals should attend the meet ings. Riverfest (April 23) meet ings are the 2nd and 4th Tues days of the month, 7:00 p.m. at the Buckhorn Restaurant. Jam boree (August 5-7) meetings are on the 4th Thursday, 7:00 p.m. at the Buckhorn. Ideas are needed anywhere from enter tainment to vendors. There is a place for everyone interested in doing anything. There are lots of exciting new ideas to explore, but we need community input and help to make these events a success. Come join the fun. Saturday, March 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - Friends of the Li brary Book Sale will be held in the Thiele-Petti Room. Lots of books for children and adults, as well as some videos, will be for sale at the low cost of 25C per item. All proceeds will be used to benefit the library and li just been added to the library’s collection. (You might want to check these out before Ms. Rush ford’s appearance.)
