preparing to amend the master
plan for Hares Canyon State
Park, the new state park in
Buxton. The basic concepts
and planned uses are un­
changed, but detailed site stud­
ies have revealed a need for
some changes.
OPRD will explain the pro­
posed revisions and seek pub­
lic input at a meeting on No­
vember 22, from 6-800 p.m., in
the auditorium of the Washing­
ton C ounty Public Service
Building at 155 N. 1st Street,
Hillsboro.
Materials that will be pub­
lished during the process, in­
cluding the draft amendments
and final plan, may be re­
viewed on the ORPD web site

Revisions set for
Vernonia Airport
Municipal
Park
ordinance
Prior to the regular agenda
for their November 15 meeting,
the Vernonia City Council held
a workshop regarding a pro­
posed ordinance to govern op­
erations at the city’s airport.
Citizens provided input on the
draft of the Vernonia Airport
Municipal Park ordinance. After
city staff makes changes to the
proposed ordinance, it will be
reviewed at a future meeting,
probably in January.
