Apr 28 – Resident at 376 C St. report- ed burgla- ry from a s h e d sometime between Vernonia’s new July 2003 Chief of Police, and April 2 0 0 4 . Mathew Workman. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the police. May 4 – Juvenile reported harassment by another juvenile; referred to Juvenile Dept. May 5 – Investigated injury MVA on Hwy 47 near Lone Pine Road. Two occupants were attended to by Vernonia Fire Dept. after they walked into town. – Kasey Carter, 24, no address given, Washington State warrant arrest; taken to CCSO jail. May 6 – Nuisance Violation on Ivy St.; owner signed a Voluntary Correction Agreement. Page 19 Oregon State Police May 7 – Riverview Dr. resident reported damage to a window; suspect contacted, report forward- ed to Col. Co. Sheriffs Office. May 11 – Took report of a 12 year old late returning home from a fishing trip with a family friend. May 12 – Blue Heron resident reported theft of BMX-style bicycle. Bike later recovered by a citizen in Rock Creek. May 14 – Took report of check stolen from Hillsboro used to pay fees at Anderson Park; no sus- pects at this time. April 27 – Single vehicle roll- over injury accident on Hwy 47 near milepost 68. Prior to arrival all three occupants had been trans- ported to Tuality Hospital. Driver Lisa Spencer, Vernonia, later said she lost control of the vehicle as she reached for a nap- kin, went onto the gravel shoulder and overcorrected. The vehicle traveled back across the highway and into the ditch. The two pas- sengers were Spencer’s children; all were treated and released. Investigation confirmed the drivers account.
