Weather sparkles for ribbon-cutting ceremony at Airport Park Follow ing an official ribbon- cutting cerem o ny to celebrate m a jo r im p ro ve m e n ts at V er n o n ia ’s A irpo rt Park, O regon Y outh C o n s e rv a tio n C o rp s w orkers happily took visitors on a to u r of the ir efforts, pointing out the foot bridge and path from the airport, new prim itive cam p sites — including three handicapped accessible sites, new w ell, restroom s and black- topped paths. A irport Park has alw ays had som e prim itive cam p sites, but the flood of 1996 w recke d w hat infrastructure existed.
