Early ticket sales now starting for Columbia Co. Fair & Rodeo The Columbia County Fair & Rodeo Exhibitor Books and tickets are now available. Ticket Pre-Sales will contin ue through Monday, July 14. Purchasing Carnival Ride Tick ets early will save $3.00. This ticket does not include Admis sion into the Fair gates. The Carnival opens at noon each day, July 16 through 20. Season passes are available at participating locations and will save $5.00 on admission for the entire week. Purchase a season pass and enjoy special daily events such as the My Fair Lady Pageant and Stock Car Races on Wednesday; the Exceptional Rodeo, Baby Con test and Junior Rodeo on Thursday; the NPRA Rodeo on Friday and Saturday, and the Logging Show and Tractor Pull on Sunday. Pre-sold tickets are available at South County Spotlight and Hi School Pharmacy in Scap- poose. In St. Helens, purchase tick ets at: Tony's Shoes, St. He- lens-Scappoose Chamber, Hi School Pharmacy, Columbia County Fairgrounds Office. In Rainier, find tickets at Satellite Services. Tickets are available in Clatskanie at Johnson Family Feed & Supply and Hi School Pharmacy. West Oregon Electric Coop erative has tickets available in Vernonia. Junior Rodeo Entry Applica tions are now being accepted at the Fair Office. Entries are lim ited to eight entries per event. Events being offered are Barrel Racing, Steer Daublin’, Steer/Calf Riding and Break away Roping and Mutton Bustin’. Each entry is $20.00 (cash only). Tryout dates are scheduled for County Fair talent competition Preliminary tryouts for the Columbia County Fair Annual Talent Competition will be held Wednesday, July 16, at 7:00 p.m. Semi-finals will be on Fri day, July 18, at 7:00 p.m. and the Final Round will be held Saturday, July 19, at 2:00 p.m. Age group 15 and under will perform first at each level of competition. All three rounds of competi tion will be performed on the Georgia Pacific Stage #1 at the Fairgrounds. The first place winner will re ceive a cash prize of $200.00 and will qualify to compete at the Oregon State Fair. Second place will receive $150.00 and $75.00 will go to the third place winner. Rules and entry forms are available at all locations where pre-sold fair tickets are being sold. Entries are due on or be fore June 27 at 5:00 p.m. at the Fair Office.
