I’m occu pied else- w h e re during the day, but support the center evenings, by cleaning, mending and finishing projects brought into the craft area. The activities in the thrift shop have included unloading, sorting, pricing and wondering where to put all the things com ing in to the center. Once again, we are asking folks not to bring any more to us or leave it outside our build ings until after November 7. We are FULL to over capacity. Did you know that leaving anything outside of our building constitutes littering and you can be cited and fined. We really would hate to enforce this law, but whoever is ignoring our re quests is showing every disre spect possible to an organiza tion that is here to help you re cycle your unwanted items. Example: Two weeks ago, someone dumped a pile of items in front of the over-full box and covered part of it with a shower curtain. It continued to rain. Needless to say, the Annual Fall Fair at Christian Church The annual Fall Fair at the Vernonia Christian Church, 410 North Street in Vernonia, will be held Thursday, October 31, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The night will begin with a carnival from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., including dart toss, ping pong ball toss, cupcake walks, re freshments and much, much more. Gospel Magician Mike Puck ett will perform from 8:30 to 9:00 p.m. The Fall Fair offers free fun for all in a safe and warm envi ronment. There will be a Ver nonia Cares drop box for non- perishable donations. For more information, call Vernonia Christian Church at 503-429-6522. Community Church fall programs A Church in Action program will begin Sunday, October 20, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Ver nonia Community Church, 957 State Avenue. Activities for all ages will in clude Nursery for 0-2 year olds, Pre-school class for 3-4 year olds, AWANA for Kindergarten- fifth grade, Jr. High Youth group for sixth-eighth grades, High School youth group, class for adults and parenting classes. Items We Do Not Take: Mat tresses, box springs, metal or wood bunk beds, waterbeds, toilets, doors, windows, old car pet of any size, lawn mowers, television sets (any type), com puters and components, exer cise equipment, wire hangers, mini or vertical blinds, any baby furniture items or car seats, wire in lighting fixtures, over stuffed furniture and much more.
