The INDEPENDENT, July 18,2002 Page 9 Food donations will earn Fairgoers ticket discount PCC will continue classes in Community Awareness Day, July 21, will mark a county wide food drive to be held at the Co lumbia County Fair in St. He lens. All proceeds will benefit Columbia Pacific Food Bank in St. Helens, the regional food bank which distributes food to community food banks in the county. Fairgoers who donate non perishable food items on July 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., will receive $1.00 off ad mission to the fair. There will also be a raffle with a grand prize of three nights in Las Vegas for two people. Tickets are $1.00 each and will be sold at the fair grounds from opening day, July 17, through Sunday, July 21. The drawing will be on Sun day, July 21. You need not be present to win, however the grand prize winner must be at least 21 years old. Ed Kaile, Community Education Coordi nator for PCC, said that Math 60 and Math 65 will be offered again, provided that a minimum of eight students enroll. Kim Wallace will be the instructor for the Tuesday and Thursday math classes running Sept. 24 through Dec. 12. Both beginning and interme diate, non-credit Conversation al Spanish courses will also be available, with instructor Carol Sawyer.
