Now Nashville West and Aces High A demonstration of synchro Vernonia Cares Food Bank. there are 10 swimmers (ages nized swimming will be pre sented on Saturday night at Cedar Ridge Sports Camp, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Directed by Vernonia High School vale dictorian Alex Hayes, the demonstration is a benefit for With extensive experience in synchro swimming, including competition at the national level, Hayes is now in her sec ond year as head coach of St. Helens Synchro Fire, a team she started in November of six to 40+) and an assistant coach, Charlene Zuver. Admission is free, however donations of food or $$ to ben efit Vernonia cares will gladly be accepted. A Country Jubilee will be held at Cedar Ridge, featuring Bob Manning, Nashville West and Aces High, on Saturday, August 3, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Summer Time Admission for adults is $7, kids from seven to 12 are $4. There is no charge for children under six. Food and beverages will be available on site. Swimming, volleyball and children’s play area will also be available. Cedar Ridge is located at 18062 Keasey Road, about two miles north of Vernonia. To get there, take State Avenue from Bridge Street (at Napa Auto Parts store); State Ave. becomes Keasey Road. Vernonia Pride will also be accepting application for new members. On Saturday only, Fred Bass of Bass Memorials/Stone Art will engrave bricks on site at the Shay Park memorial walk way.
