Previous information, that an interim su perintendent would not receive a full benefits package, was in correct. Harr presented information about candidates who would be willing to consider the interim position with the understanding that a permanent contract may be offered. The advantage of this arrangem ent, Harr ex plained, is that the board and the district have at least six months to interact with the new superintendent, prior to offering a perm anent contract. The board agreed that the opportu nity for a trial period is a benefit to the district. In other business, the board approved an additional foreign exchange student for ASSE.
