Dec. 28 - Scooter found; brought to VPD. -JeffreyA. Davis, 21, Vernonia, arrested for probation violation; taken to CCSO jail. Dec. 29 - Todd A. Cutright, 29, Vernonia, warrant arrest; taken to CCSO jail. Dec. 30 - Justin R. Johnson, 19, cited for possession of less than 1 oz. of marijuana. - Corey J. Parker, 17, referred to CC Juv. Dept. for possession of less than 1 oz. of marijuana. Jan. 1 - Criminal mischief re ported to mailbox and storage shed on 1st. Ave. - Investigated harrassment inci dent on Bridge St. Jan. 2 - Investigated possible suicidal juvenile; taken to Emanuel Hospital for assistance. Jan. 3 - MIP, 14 yr. old female juvenile; referred to CC Juv. Dept. - James L. Hall, Jr., 19, cited for furnishing alcohol to a minor. Jan. 4 - Investigation of mail theft, forged checks; report sent to DA. - Impounded car driven by driv er w/suspended license. - Investigated criminal mischief to city property; reward offered. Jan. 5 - Impounded car driven by driver w/suspended license. homicide. The Major Crimes Team is led by the Oregon State Police with representatives from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Of fice, Scappoose, Vernonia and Rainier Police Departments. Columbia County Major Crimes Team is conducting an investigation into the death of Hon Ha Zweigard, 48, of War ren. Initial response by St. He lens Police, at approximately 3:30 a.m. on January 10, deter mined that the incident was Oregon State Police Jan. 3 - Single vehicle MVA on Hwy. 47 @MP 67.4. Dean H. Curyea, 54, Vernonia, referred to DA for charges of DUII, Assault III and Reckless Endangering. Curyea was driving southbound when he crossed the northbound lane, ran off the road and hit a tree. Passengers Lisa Curyea, 37, and John Gertsch, 30, both of Ver nonia, were transported to Eman uel Hospital. Dean Curyea was transported to St. Vincent Hospital.
