The driver, Aaron H. Johnston, 20, Bend, was cited for DUII, DWS and MIP by consumption. Charges may be pending from VPD regard ing hit and run, The passenger, John H. Grims- bo, 20, Bend, and driver were re leased at St. Johns Hospital. The vehicle, a 1994 Acura Inte gra, was towed by VPD. July 1 - Julie C. Joy, Vernonia, arrested for Harrassment; taken to CCSO jail. July 2 - Report of dog bite on Jefferson Avenue; report sent to animal control. Report of assault on Lakeview Drive; officer unable to locate sus pects. July 4 - Charles W. Casteel, Vernonia, charged with Reckless Endangering and Criminal Mis chief III. Three male juveniles charged with Theft Ill-shoplifting; referred to Juvenile Dept. Randy D. Sheeder, Vernonia, charged with Negotiating Bad Check-Closed Account. Report of hit and run MVA in school parking lot during fireworks display. July 5 - Abandoned vehicle on Heather Lane tagged for tow; re moved by tow company. July 6 - Complaint from resi dent on Umatilla Street of blocked access to property. Neighbor con tacted; situation resolved. Bend Police Department recov tion taken.
