Page 4 - 2001 Vernonia Friendship Jamboree Myra Baska chosen Grand Marshall for 2001 parade Country Kitchen & Pizza That Myra Baska was se lected as Grand Marshall of the 45th Vernonia Friendship Jam boree is appropriate; 2001 also happens to be the 45th an niversary of her family’s arrival in Vernonia. Six of her chil dren live in Oregon, four of them in Vernonia. Myra had 15 siblings, 6 boys and 9 girls, 12 of whom survive. In this great family, a tradi tion of reunion is held by the clan every two years. She is looking forward to the next gathering in Minnesota. Five of the 12 survivors of her sibling family are older than Myra, who is now 90. BRIDGE ST.
