In te rm e n t w as in St. F ra n cis Cemetery. Mr. B aker w as born January 17, 1916, in Tim ber to W illiam D. and Frances (Tatman) Baker. He graduated from Banks High School. He logged and w orked fo r W illam ette Iron & Steel during W orld W ar II. He w as a sheet m etal w orker and estim ator for Atlas Sheet M etal for 34 years, retiring in 1983. He w as a volunteer fire chief for North Plains and a board m em ber of North Plains Elem entary School. In 1937, he m arried Elizabeth Ann Van D om elen. They lived in Banks, North Plains and Seattle and returned to O regon in 1963. T hey lived in Aloha from 1967 to 1998. He w as preceded in death by his w ife in 1998, and by five siblings. W hile grow ing up, he w orked with his father on the fam ily farm . In 1968, he m oved to Oregon. He m arried N orm a Aaron in 1973. T hey lived in Tigard until 1981 when they m oved to H illsboro. Mr. Tipton w orked in com m ercial and residential construction, both as a carpenter and general contractor. He w as also an apartm ent m anager for several years. He w as preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. He lived in T illa m o ok, M ist, Valley Junction and Astoria before m oving to Portland in 1950. He w as a logger and retired in 1965. In 1920, he m arried Stella M ay N ut ter.
