V Planning underway for second 24 Hour Relay event Planning for the Second An nual Columbia County Relay Challenge is underway! It will be held in October at Rainier High School. The purpose of the Relay Challenge is to bring people from throughout Columbia County together to have fun and raise money to support positive youth activities. The Relay Challenge will be held from 11 a.m. on Friday, October 8, to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 9. Schools will not be in session on October 8 be cause of teacher in-service. Last year, in the first 24- Hour Relay Challenge, there were nearly 200 participants and over 200 volunteers who helped with the event.
