The board also approved hiring Stella Swafford as Satellite Facilitator at Ver nonia High School. The Board authorized the following overnight field trips: skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows for the International Club in January, the Ashland Shake speare Festival for Drama and Honors English students in March, a concert trip to The Dalles for Band students in March and, in April, the Univer sity of Oregon Foreign Lan guage and Study Day for French and German students. The STARS program is designed to help prevent teen pregnancy. In other business, the board officially accepted the District’s Technology Plan and approved the Budget Calendar recom mended by Superintendent Larry McClellan.
