Wilce, 50 yd. individual medley, finishing in freestyle (:27:85). Turnovers, fouls make basketball tough for Braves Banks High School boys varsity basketball team came home from Scappoose, Jan. 15, with an 80-62 loss. “We had the same problems we’ve been having," said head coach Richard Warren, “Our offense isn’t keeping pace with our defense and we only shot 30 percent." The Braves forced 24 turnovers, but hurt themselves with late fouls and cold shoot ing. “We’re getting good looks at the ball,” said Warren, “but it’s not falling in the hole.” High Scores: Brian Ackerman, 17 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists; Steve Olson, 12 points; Matt Hutchins, 11 points. The Braves lost at Yamhill- Carlton Jan. 6, 48-46. “We capitalized on our fast break opportunities and didn’t turn over the ball much,” said Coach Warren. “If we can up that shooting percentage we’d be a good team.
