Any re a llo ca tio n of fu n d s w ould have to be approved by the legislatures. M a n y R a in ie r re s id e n ts w o rk in L o n g v ie w a n d are, understandably, opposed to a toll bridge. The tw o -la n e brid ge is n ’t just old and crowded, there is concern about its de teriorat ing condition. Where there is a lot of dis a g re e m e n t, h o w e v e r, is whether a new bridge should be built using tolls to help pay the possible $100 million re placement cost.
