Closing gains were at or near the best. Steels revived at the last In front were coppers, motors, aircraft and farm implements. Even the rails and utilities, while not especially popular, managed to display occasional advances. Final prices were fractionally below the previous close. Early strength in the market was attributed in part to firm ness in oils and fats and to the expectation that the parity farm loan measure would soon be come a law. Com futures held relatively firm most ot the session. Wheat closed l-l cents lower than Monday's final prices. May $1.01. July $ 991-1 corn was 1 I cents higher; May 721c, July 731, and oats were Ic off to Ic up.
