"Radio will b the school of training which will educate the en gineers, inventors and scientist thousands, not by the thousands but by the millions." Alexandersor. told the annual meeting of the Insti tute of Radio Engineers recently. 'lf you will let loose your Imagina tion what mar you not expect from generations so trained? "The future great discoveries re garding the nature of matter, ener gy and the universe will be made by those who, as boys, have been play ing with electrons and probing the lengths and depths of space by ra dio wares." Alexanderson pointed out that, due to the popularity of radio, "al-! cost every high school boy had ' soma intimate knowledge of a com plicated art. which, not long ago. conld be grasped only by a few " Technical training and opportu nities for scientific study and dis covery had been very limited in the past, be pointed out.
