Knight Motor Wins Endurance Contest In a contest just conducted by the Motordrome National, in Paris, a Knight motor won on every point, Including continuous power develop ment, motor cooling, mechanical ef ficiency and freedom from wear. The test called for 240 hours of continuous running at maximum horsepower, with no adjustments al lowed during the entlro poriod Practically every type of gasoline motor built at the present time was represented, and the findings of the test were to help the French govern ment determine the most efficient and rllnble type of motor to use in aeroplane construction. The search was for lighter, stmnKer. fnstrr power plants, with increavd liftlnit power, find with dfmotisuatid ability to stnnd up under the most gruelling service.
