Shockers, Continue By lolled Press International Jeff Mullins, the "other guy" on the Duke basketball team last season, has developed into the Blue Devils' "big guy" this season. Not that Mullins was any slouch last year, finishing with a 20.3 per game average, but he usually played second fiddle to spectacular teammate Art Heyman. Hayman has- since graduated to the pros, leaving the field open for Mullins to fully demonstrate his abilities. Mullins put on another bril liant show Thursday night, pour ing in 30 points to lead fourth ranked Duke to an 84-73 victory over Virginia at Durham, N.C. It was the second time this sea son Mullins had scored 30 or more points in a game. He is chiefly responsible for the Blue Devils' 6-1 record. Turns Back Rally The burly 6-4 senior was on the spot when needed most and personally turned back a deter mined Virginia rally by scoring eight straight points after the Cavaliers had narrowed the Duke lead to 49-46 early in the second half.' A well-balanced Wichita team, determined to end Cincinnati's domination of the Missouri Val ley Conference this season, came up w ith another strong ef fort to overcome Minnesota, 71-63.
