Many of those who Might the reserved tickets last year have not been able to be reached this year and athlet ic director Jim Johnson asks those interested in having the same seats as a year ago to advise the athletic depart ment. A large list of those wish ing tickets has been formed, however, the policy has been ti offer the tickets to those holding them the previous year lirst opportunity of buy ing them again. The reserved scat ducats not asked for by Friday will be placed on sale at that time, according to the athlet ic department. When Gene Christensen's Merrill Huskies collide with Chuck Stapleton's Wasco Red sides in the battle for the right to advance into the state finals fans will have the opportunity of seeing four players in ac tion who have a combined rush ing total of nearly 3.500 yards. Add to this another 1.500 yards via the airlanes by a pair of passing wizards and the offensive possibility is almost a certainty. With these words and a shrug of his shoulders, Peruvian light heavyweight champion Matiro Mina today accepted the fact that he will not be permitted to fight in New York state. Mina was scheduled to meet Allen Thomas at Madison Square Garden Friday night, but tlie Garden cancelled tlie bout Tuesday when it learned Mina had undergone eye sur gery early this year. Undefeat ed Johnny Persul of Brooklyn, N.Y., was named to replace Mina against Thomas. Dr. Oscar Teran, Mina's manager, admitted that his fighter underwent an eye oper ation for a detaclied retina in Lima. Peru, last March. But Teran added that Mina was given a five-hour examination by five eye specialists and they stated that the operation repre sented no danger.
