Paris Chamber Orchestra To Open Concert Season Tlie internationally popular Paris Chamber Orchestra lin ear the baton of Paul Kuentz will open the 13 Community Concert season on T u e s d a y, Nov. 19. in .Mills School Audi torium. The cj.-ening number will be at 8 p.m. HERALD AND NEWS, Klamath Falls, Oregon Wednesday, November 6, 1963 This year's concert series promises to be one of tlie best in recent years, according to James Shields, association president. Also scheduled are: Monday, Jan. 27, Don Shirley Trio; Sunday, Keb. 2. Phyllis Curtin, soprano: Thursday, Keb. 27, Grant Johanncsen, pi anist. 'Paul Kuentz, founder and di rector of the Paris Chamber Orchestra, was a student of l'Ecole Superieure de Musique of Paris and a winner of its first prize. He organized his en semble some 10 years ago from among other prize winners of the conservatory. The group presented its first concert in April, 1951, and met with in stantaneous success.
