11 Arraigned Following Grand Jury Indictments Eleven persons indicted by the grand jury were arraigned in circuit court Tuesday and five others will appear Friday morning (or arraignment. None of the 11 submitted a plea. Nine of the eleven will also appear Friday to plead and the other two will submit pleas at a later date. William Edward Unsworth, in dicted for second degree mur der, will submit his plea Oct. 30 at 9:30 a.m. to Judge Donald A. W. Piper. He is accused of shooting a farm laborer near Beatty in April, 1962. Uns worth's original conviction was set aside by the Supreme Court. Clifford George Jr., indicted for assault with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to commit rape, will submit his plea next Monday at 9:30 a.m. He is accused of cutting with a i , knife and striking with a croquet mallet a woman near Chiloquin Sept. 27. Three persons who had been released on bail prior to being indicted will appear Friday (or arraignment. They are Clyde Bell, charged with burglary not in a dwelling; William Richard Best, burglary not in a dwell ing; and Wesley Robert John son, concealing stolen property. Two o( them are women Colleen Crume. 23. and Daiiene Sanchez, 22. They are accused of assault with a dangerous weapon for shooting at a man and attacking him with a meat cleaver. They will appear Fri day at 9:30 a.m. for submission of a plea. The other person appearing alter secret indictment was Theodore Albert-Julius Drum mond of Eugene, accused of ob taining money by false pretens es. He is accused of cassing worthless checks in Klamath Falls last month and will ap pear Friday for a plea. Samuel Julius Amato, ac cused of burglary not in a dw ell ing, and Jimmy Wurst, indicted for obtaining property by false pretenses, will be arraigned Fri day. Their arraignment w as de layed because their attorney wasn't available. Parks and Recreation Direct or Gary Woodring said t h e rink was resurfaced and asphalt retaining curbs were installed. The work was done by city crews. It is expected that ice skating lessons will be offered at the rink again this year. Also, Woodring announced that the irrigation pump house at the park has been recon structed with brick at a cost of $650. SIXTH 4 & Neuberger Bill Asks Credit A bill to secure a seven per cent tax credit on federal in come taxes paid was introduced Tuesday in Congress by Sen. Maurine Neuberger. In her introductory speech, Senator Neuberger called atten tion to the recent defeat of the proposed new income tax in crease law at the polls in Ore gon, and cautioned that many states are faced with rising tax burdens.
