She will be the guest of past queens of the temple on Tues day evening at a picnic dinner in Lilhia Park, Ashland, after which the group will attend the Shakes pearean Festival. Garden Club President Dorothy Carstens was presented a check for $152 by general chair man of the building and landscap ing fund. Mrs. Mary Young. The Alturas Garden Club, over the past few years, has been reno vating the old NCO Railroad ticket office building into a club house. The stone building that was built in the early 1 lions had been aban-; doned and left to become a com munity eye sore until the garden club took it over to renovate and make a historic landmark.
