The Alturas Garden Club, over
the past few years, has been reno
vating the old NCO Railroad ticket
office building into a club house.
The stone building that was built
in the early 1 lions had been aban-;
doned and left to become a com
munity eye sore until the garden
club took it over to renovate and
make a historic landmark.
Complete repainting i.nd restora
tion of the inside rooms has been
made as well as extensive land
scaping which is being developed
on a long-range program.
