ALBERT OCE NIS, Gay and Gary of Los An geles s.pent a few days with Mr. - and Mrs. Bud Lee and family. MR. AND MRS. LEE MILLER and family spent several days at Coeur d Alene. MR. AND MRS, GERALD CHRISTEN'SEN have returned to their home at San Luis Obispo after a visit with Mr. and Mis John Sullivan. MR. AND MRS. HERB JOHN SON are here with relatives. Her mother, Mrs. Ruby Brown, is ill at Klamath Valley Hospital. J MR. AND MRS. BILL BURNETT and family atlended a barbecue in Klamath Kalis on July 9 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Eittriem. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cain of Rosebui g were also ' there. MR, AND MRS. FLOYD BLA- SER of Hed Bluff and their daughter, Mrs. Mickey Miller, and son, Terry of Chico visited his mother, Mrs. Grace Blaser. and other relatives in Langell Val ley. They went to Dayville to visit Mrs. Blaser s parents and on to Beverly. Wash., to visit another daughter, Mrs. L y 1 e Yates. VIRGINIA NOBLE, 13. daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther No ble. and her mare. Halo Lady won a trophy and several rib bons at the Alturas Model Quar ter Horse Show on July 6. MR. AND MRS. PETE HODGES, Coialee and Bruce of Sacramento are visiting her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Lcav- itt , Langell Valley, and his mother, Mrs. Sarah Hodges, Mer rill. RED CROSS SWIMMING LES SONS will start Monday, July 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Twin Springs Pool in Langell Valley. Donna Gift and Joan Hill will he instructors, assisted by Cassie Rittcr and Hazel O'Keeffe Registration will be on July 22, " and (Jiere will be a pool charge of $.1 for the two-week session ending Aug. 2. MRS. CARL PROUGH and daughter of Brookings are spend ing a few days with her mother. Mrs. Mabel Pepple. Prough and children, Carla and Craig, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Prough, Dairy, are camping at Campbell Lake for a few days. BEATTY FERNANDO D. IIERRKRA. grandson of Lou E. Anderson of Beatty, has undergone a success ful eye operation in Portland. He left St. Vincent Hospital on July 4 and is now recuperating at llic home of his aunt. Ann Haws. MERRILL NEWT WEAVER, operator of the Merrill Barbershop, has gone to the State Archery Tournament. He also will do some fishing in the High Lakes near Bond. MARY ANN, PATRICIA AND DIANE WALDRIP stayed with the Sherman Waldrips while their par ents were in Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Waldrip attended the Calgary Stampede with relatives. DUANE MATTSON has accept ed a position with the telephone company. The job will help him with the course he is taking at OTI. PEARL MOORE spent several days in Eagle Point visiting with her daughter. JANNIS HODGES. Candis Kan dra. Mrs. Conner and Mrs. Bros land. Central Point, spent a week at Diamond Lake. Candis and Mi s. Conner have gone on to Medford for an indefinite time. MERRILL PRESBYTERIAN YOUTH FELLOWSHIP held a swimming party and wiener roast July 2 at Malin Park. Attending the party were 43 youths and four adults. MR. AND MRS. BILL HILL arc the parents of a boy, born July 10. They have named him John Timothv. He has two sisters and one brother. SIMPSON. Edith and Keith have gone on vacation to the Deschutes River near Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Hodges. Denis and Denise will spend several days with them. NEW PINE CREEK MR. AND MRS. TAYLOR AL-j EXANDER and family of Los An-' geles left last Saturday after vis iting for a week with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Lightle. Taylor works in a Foremo.t Ice Cream plant. MRS. BEATRICE BLASER of Red Bluff arrived last week to spend several days with her (laughter, Mrs. Amy Cloud. MR. AND MRS. CARROLL CLOUD and family made a week end trip to the Emerald Empire district swimming championship meet for youths 18 and under. Their son, Marvin, won third place in the 50-yard breast stroke division; fourth in the 50-yard back stroke; fourth in the 100-yard re lay, and sixth in the SO-yard but terfly. Robert Nichols and Rich ard McKee of Lakeview accom panied them. OLE LINGRIN and family of Brookings were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wells and family at 1'airport last Mon day night. T. A. LAWSON LOGGING COM PANY began hauling logs last Wednesday out of the Pine Creek Canvon for tire Lovcness Mill at Canby. The sale o timber com prised a million and a half feet and will require about three weeks to fall and deliver. LEW GARVIN of Santa Rosa arrived last Thursday for a week's visit with his sister, Mrs Frankie Williams. MRS. MAXINE MADISON of Al turas returned Saturday from a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Bunch, in Broken Bow Okla. Mrs. Madison's younger sis ters, Jeanie and Sandra, returned with her to visit until August They are former residents here. LYLEEN TEDRICK is working in Los Angeles this summer. She will remain there until college begins in the fall. MR. AND MRS. ELMER KEL LY from Hedrick, Iowa, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs George Mattson. Mrs. Kelly is Mrs. Mattson's cousin. MR.
