Revenge against a domineering mother or tyrannical father often is given by girls and young wom en as the basic reason for their illicit sex relations, says Dr. Eve lyn Millis Duvall. In a report. "Love and the Facts of Life," published by Associa tion Press, the publishing division of the YMCA. Dr. Duvall said: "The great majority of the un married mothers studied wanted to have a baby without a hus band. In fact, the men in most of the cases were not particularly important to the girls except for the purpose they served in getting the girls pregnant." Teen-agers are defended by Dr. Duvall. She said research has shown the greatest increase in the illegitimacy rate in recent years has been among women between 23 and 34 years of age, not among teen-agers. In 1958 alone, she said. 79 per cent of all illegitimate births were to women over 18.
